2022 AutoGyro MTO Classic with a 912 ULS Rotax Engine
Our brand new German manufactured AutoGyro is one of the most reliable, stable, quiet and fun Light Sport Aircraft in the world.
This aircraft features tandem seating in which the student is in the rear and instructor in the front; similar to riding a motorcycle in the sky! The two seat gyroplane offers dual control from either front or rear seats.
A Little History Lesson
An autogyro, a.k.a. a gyroplane or a gyrocopter is a type of rotorcraft that uses an unpowered rotor in autorotation to develop lift. The autogyro was invented and first flown on 9 January 1923, it is the predecessor of the modern helicopter. Forward thrust is provided independently, by an engine-driven propeller. While similar to a helicopter rotor in appearance, the autogyro’s rotor must have air flowing across the rotor disc to generate rotation, and the air flows upwards through the rotor disc rather than down.
Safety
In case of an engine out the Autogyro can land in tight places with very little ground roll making it one of the safest aircraft known to man.
The gyroplane thrives in high winds and handles turbulence with ease which can barely be felt, so motion sickness isn’t a problem.
